Aquarian Space joined the Mission 8 cohort with CEO Kelly Larson, COO, Becky Strauss and their founding visionary Michael Hackman attending throughout.

Aquarian Space are redefining space communications, transforming the next stage of space exploration through their development of SOLNET.

SOLNET is Aquarian Space's satellite relay network which allows customers to send and receive large amounts of streaming data quickly and reliably 24/7. Effective interplanetary communication is paramount in the New Space economy, where there is zero margin for error. Current use cases include Space Situation Awareness (SSA) and scientific data from the Moon and Mars.

We caught up with Kelly to ask her to reflect on her experience as a founder and the impact of our programme.

What advice would you give to a new founder in deep tech?

Take bold risks, build strong relationships with other founders and industry leaders, get great advisors, and don't quit your day job until money is in the bank!

What will you miss most about being on programme?

Regular calls to practice pitching - the thing I thought I was going to like the least is what I will miss the most. It was great up levelling for our pitch.

What’s next for Aquarian Space?

We are building high level partnerships that will change the game in our market. Our time at Space Camp was highly supportive of our progress.

We are enormously proud of what Kelly and the rest of the Aquarian Space team have achieved so far, and we can't wait to see what they can achieve next.
