Fast Company recently published their 10 most innovative space companies, among which is SSIT portfolio company Pixxel. Indian space data company, pixxel has been featured in this list for 'expanding the spectrum of earth-imaging satellites'.

Pixxel is building a constellation of hyperspectral earth imaging satellites and the analytical tools to mine insights from that data. Their satellites capture images in more than 150 bands of color from the visible and infrared spectrums at a resolution of 10 meters per pixel. This exceeds that of hyperspectral satellites launched by NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Indian Space Research Organisation.

These high quality satellite images are designed to provide 24 hour global coverage, with the aim of detecting, monitoring and predicting global phenomena. Such as monitoring crop health, the environment (sustainable development), government decision-making and Energy resources.
