Ten startups won contracts at the first International Space Pitch Day yesterday. The Allied Defence Accelerator’s event was jointly sponsored by the US and UK to leverage commercial technology in meeting military space challenges. The goal is to expand the partnership into a larger coalition, modeling success of the US Air Force in accelerating innovation by engaging startups to pitch directly to decision makers and walk away with contracts the same day. More than 100 companies from 14 different countries applied for the first competition with six challenge areas primarily on capabilities related to Space Situational Awareness.

Congratulations to all ten winners. Special shout out to Clutch Space Systems and Spire Global from Seraphim Space Camp and Space Fund. Stay tuned for future competition.
