Bayanat, a listed public company and leading provider of AI-powered geospatial solutions, Yahsat, the UAE’s flagship satellite solutions provider and ICEYE announced an ambitious program to broaden commercial opportunities across the UAE Space-Ecosystem.

The programme aims to develop a constellation of five LEO SAR satellites with the first satellite scheduled for launch in Q1 2024. This constellation aims to deliver a consistent data flow to support end-to-end solutions for SAR applications. By utilizing the existing synergies within Yahsat's upstream and midstream capabilities, including their advanced satellite infrastructure and diverse range of innovative satellite-enabled solutions, along with Bayanat's downstream capabilities in advanced AI and data analytics, the program will comprehensively cover the entire value chain. This collaboration will greatly enhance Bayanat's commercial offerings by providing timely and precise geospatial insights to various industries, thereby adding significant value.

This space programme hopes to build national satellite remote sensing and Earth Observation (EO) capabilities within the UAE to commercially address business opportunities in the local and global EO market. This will be achieved in partnership with SSIT portfolio company ICEYE, aiming to expand Bayanat’s capabilities into the space sector driving its growth strategy and becoming a prominent player in the industry.
